How I make a few extra bucks from home

Sometimes it is easier to make money than to save money! Can you relate? I tend to be an over-accumulator of financial how-to books. You know the ones that tell you if you “just” live within your paycheck then you will become rich eventually. I especially cringe when they say “all you have to do is give up your daily latte and you can save a million dollars!” OK maybe they don’t promise millions of dollars. But seriously, sometimes my quick stop for a latte is my only treat for the day. I just don’t want to give them up completely. I have done a great job of cutting back on them, but I like my quick pick-me-up at my local coffee shop.

Well,  I have good news. I have found a way to have my cake and eat it too! And I want to share it with you today. Before I say the word, I want to ask you a favor. Please don’t roll your eyes and close your browser until you have heard me out! This is real, I really do this and it only takes me a few extra minutes either late in the evening when I am tired and just watching TV anyway or when the baby is napping and I am trying to stay as quiet as possible. So I am not promising you riches and I am not suggesting you even remotely spend more than a few minutes each day that would probably be wasted anyway.

There, that is all I have to say about that! If you are curious about how to get a quick, free gift card to Starbucks or Amazon (my other guilty pleasure!) then read on. If you are looking for ways to make millions in 4 hours or less, you can find that elsewhere!

Here is my not-so-secret tip for you: Swagbucks.  I know, I know, it seems cheesy and silly. But in all honesty, it is more than just surveys. You can watch videos on your laptop while you fix dinner (my laundry area is just off my kitchen so I set up the laptop on top of the washer and just let it run). I sometimes click whether or not I liked the video, but other times I just let it stream on to the next video and keep on stirring the dinner.

Once you reach 300 points you can start cashing in your Swagbucks for real bucks in the form of gift cards. I know I should probably save up for bigger purchases (some people do all their shopping at Walmart with their free gift cards) but I tend to want more instant gratification than that! So I will cash out around the $3-5 range and just get a coffee card.

It’s as easy and 1, 2, 3. Simply sign up and start watching videos and taking surveys. If you sign up using my link I get bonus Swagbucks for sharing with you. But like I said, I really do this too and wouldn’t suggest something that isn’t real. Check it out and let me know what you choose to get with your free bucks!
